Mcelroy received his first ticket his first day at North Central during welcome week while unloading his vehicle to move into Carlson Hall. "I didn't have a Special Guest Parking Pass" he explained. The second ticket was received 20 minutes after the first ticket for "Still Not Having a Special Guest Parking Pass." The third ticket came the next day after Mcelroy had registered improperly for his parking pass. "Apparently, they weren't sure if it was my car because even though the description and license matched, I'd forgot to tell them I was missing a hubcap."
"We can't be too lenient with parking." Said Officer #7 who was responsible for Mcelroy's fourth ticket, "While it's true that these lots are rarely full and that we could make everyone's lives a lot easier by being a little more reasonable; NCU Security can't afford to let students and staff abuse the authority of the law. That's why we're here, you know, to abuse authority and make up the law."
The NCU security office, who has received criticism in the past for being fickle, overly legalistic, and inflexible in special circumstances, refused to comment over the phone, stating they couldn't find a record of our inquiry on paper. - Woodward

I heard that you can slip the old boots off if you're awesome enough. Here's to power trips and makin' up the law...
I actually heard the same thing, I'm not sure it was ever true though. Plus, wouldn't they just track you down and make you pay for a new boot?
With the pressure boots that just press tightly against either side of your tire you can jsut let out a little air and slip it off.... they any time you park illegally you can slip it back on and people will think you already got in trouble for it!
the pressure boots can slip off...but the caveat is if you do it gets towed next time. and unless it changed recently.....they tow on the 4th ticket. tow trucks show up in about 10 minutes after the call goes out.
Ya, i wouldn't try that though. I have honestly had my fair share of boots on my car and if i couldn't get it off then no one could. The NCU security is top notch when it comes to boot efficiency. Honestly, i think someone should buy a car boot online and boot the security van. that would show em for illegally parking outside miller hall.

I have a question, why is it so hard to park legally and not in hanicapped spots, not in spots that are already coned off, being responsible and actually getting a parking permit? Oh ya, most people that complain need someone else to hold their hand through life.
I agree, NCU could use more parking .. and as for the stalls being blocked off, they should've started construction at the beginning of the summer ... not at the end of july.
